RIFA holds Canstruction Kickoff Party for teams, sponsors
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Regional Inter-Faith Association, or RIFA held their Canstruction Kickoff Party at Baker Brothers BBQ in downtown Jackson late Thursday afternoon.
This celebration was for all 2024 RIFA Canstruction teams and sponsors.
Teams will soon be competing to create displays and make them into creative works of art in a unique way.
“Solicit teams from different companies, schools, churches and they will build structures made out of canned food and other non-perishable foods and then all of that food will be donated to the local food bank here in Jackson–that would be RIFA,” said Lisa Tillman, executive director for RIFA.
The 19th annual Canstruction Gala will be held Thursday, September 26, At the Carl Perkins Civic Center in downtown Jackson.
The gala includes a formal dinner, awards ceremony, and entertainment by Comedian Mike Goodwin.
