Possible runaway juvenile runs into woods, Sheriff’s Dept. says
UPDATE: The Sheriff’s Department confirms the juvenile has been located safely.
FROM THE CROCKETT COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT:
POSSIBLE RUNAWAY JUVENILE RUNS INTO WOODS
A white female juvenile was seen walking down Highway 79 from Bells toward Gadsden wearing a pink shirt and a backpack (possibly white pants?)
A citizen stopped to check on her and she reported being kicked out of her house.
The citizen called 911 and a deputy responded – the juvenile took off on foot into the woods.
We immediately began a search with multiple agencies involved – we have use canines and have additional canines coming.
However, if you see a young teenager matching this limited description – knocking on your door, walking, or asking for a ride in the Fruitvale area – please call 911.
If you know who this is or have any information that would be helpful – please call 731-696-2104.
We have no information that would suggest she is dangerous – at this point, we are treating this as a runaway juvenile and trying to get her help before sunset.
Additional assets and resources are being called in and we appreciate your assistance by sharing this post.
