13th annual Alzheimer’s Caregiver Conference held at Union University
JACKSON, Tenn. — The 13th annual Alzheimer’s Caregiver Conference was held Tuesday.
Hosted at the Carl Grant Events Center at Union University, this event offered a variety of vendors with information to assist caregivers. Guests also heard from speaker Melanie Bunn.
This year’s conference focused on practical information for both family and professional caregivers facing the daily challenges of caring for those with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
“One thing we say about this conference is they get information today that they can take home and use tonight as they’re caring for their loved ones. Information on behaviors, information on bathing, medications, things like that that they need, practical information,” said Regina Smith, senior services manager for West Tennessee Healthcare.
Attendees also enjoyed door prizes and a buffet lunch.
