Marine Corps asks for your help with annual ‘Toys for Tots’ campaign

JACKSON, Tenn.–It’s the season of giving and what better way to help than with the Marine Corps annual ‘Toys for Tots’ holiday drive.

‘Toys for Tots’ was founded by the Marine Corps Reserve in 1947.

Where there is not a Marine Reserve unit, the Marine Corps League detachments takes up the ‘Toys for Tots’ campaign.

This year they are providing toys for 953 children.

You can drop off toys Saturday, November 30, from 8 am to 5 pm and next Saturday December 7, from 8 am to 5 pm at Jackson’s north Walmart and Milan’s Walmart location.

“There’s boxes all throughout town. Most banks have boxes and a lot of retail locations have boxes. So, if you can’t get out at Walmart Friday, Saturday or next Saturday there’s boxes around town that you can place toys in. There’s also QR codes on all those boxes where you can do it online as well,” said Bryce West, Commandant of the Captain Jack Holland Marine Corps League.

Last year the Captain Jack Holland Marine Corps League Detachment provided 900 children with presents to open on Christmas morning.
