JPD, US Marshals apprehend Wallace Road shooting suspect, last suspect still at large

UPDATE (12/18/24): Authorities apprehend third suspect involved in Wallace Road shooting
JACKSON, Tenn. — On December 4, 2024, the Jackson Police Department, in partnership with the United States Marshals, apprehended DeAndre Perry, a suspect in the Wallace Road shooting that occurred on November 26, 2024.
In that incident, five individuals, including a two-year-old child, were shot, and tragically, the child succumbed to the injuries.

“We would like to express our gratitude to those who have come forward with tips and information that helped advance this investigation and locating those involved. This morning’s arrest is a testament to the diligent and collaborative efforts of our officers, investigators, our partners at the U.S. Marshals Service, and the citizens of Jackson. This type of community and law enforcement collaboration is vital for achieving progress. We encourage citizens to continue providing any information they may have, as we will exhaust all available resources to bring those responsible to justice,” said Chief Thom Corley.
“The investigators of the Jackson Police Department did an outstanding job of quickly identifying the suspects involved in this senseless crime,” said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. “This morning, citizen involvement and teamwork led to the capture of DeAndre Perry. Our focus will now shift to apprehending the second suspect, Tarcus Wilkes.”
