Local church hosts annual mobile food pantry
LEXINGTON, Tenn. — A local church is spreading kindness this holiday season.
First United Methodist Church of Lexington is hosting its annual mobile food pantry.
The church says this gift is given to their neighbors with love just as God gave the gift of his son to be our savior, and that we should seek to be the light of God’s kingdom by helping our neighbors during the holidays.
“We could not do this event without the many volunteers across our community that have no connection with our church whatsoever, and that’s what warms my heart just seeing all the volunteers that come out from a number of different partnerships in our community, so this is truly a community event,” said Roger Brown, pastor.
This event was on a first-come, first-serve basis and ran while supplies lasted.
