Local sorority presents ‘Teacher Appreciation Tea’

JACKSON, Tenn.—One local sorority chapter celebrates educators with a special event.

The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated, Gamma Psi Chapter presents its ‘Teacher Appreciation Tea’ today.

The event began at 10 this morning at Issac Lane Elementary located at 746 Lexington Avenue in Jackson.

The theme for the event is “Don’t Miss the B.U.S., Building Unique Students.”

The event includes a special tribute to teachers including a presentation from guest speaker Dr. Patrice Martin.

Martin is not only the founder and CEO of an educational coaching and consulting company but also serves as an adjunct professor for Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville.

Several sorority members took part in today’s event. 

The sorority strives to celebrate sisterhood and recognizes the importance of education and those who strive to provide it.
