Flooding and storms impact West TN
GIBSON CO., Tenn.—Severe weather conditions are affecting most of the West Tennessee region right now.
While our crews drove through parts of the area, the main impacts of the storm appear to be substantial amounts of tree and roof damages.
Many counties were issued flash flood warnings. With flooding affecting many underpasses, highways, and small creeks as well as causing poor drainage in low lying areas.
One neighbor we spoke with tells us their home was completely destroyed in the line of the storm outside of Gibson county.
To stay cautious and prepared always “Turn around, Don’t drown,” when entering flooded roads even if the water appears shallow enough to cross.
