Consignment sale benefits more than just dress shoppers

JACKSON, Tenn.—One local clothing sale not only finds you the perfect dress but lends support to an important scholarship opportunity.

The Miss Jackson Formal Consignment Dress Sale is happening this weekend.

This two-day event began at 10 Saturday morning and continued until 4 in the afternoon at 50 Stonebridge Boulevard in Jackson.

The unique sale includes over 400 dresses and formal wear attire available for purchase in sizes ranging from youth girls to ladies.

Shoppers could also browse the large collection of accessories including jewelry and several shoe options.

The large selection was collected through donations to offer not only affordable formal wear to those who need it for pageants or upcoming events like prom, but to have an opportunity to raise funds.

Proceeds from this weekend sales will go to the Miss Jackson Volunteer Pageant Foundation, a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization.

“We’ve collected from all around the community. We have everything from pageant to prom, mother of the bride, bridesmaids, formal events, short, long, a mixture of everything,” said Rachael Morford, Assistant Director.

If you were unable to attend the sale event today, don’t worry, doors open Sunday from 1 in the afternoon until 4 in the evening.
