Jackson Rotary members gather to pack supplies for homeless students
JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson Rotary members packed boxes for the homeless children in the Jackson-Madison County School System.

They gathered this morning at Parkview Prep Academy.

JMCSS offers various services to families experiencing homelessness or transitional housing.
Yvette Nesbitt, the district homeless liaison for JMCSS, shares that she saw a need to provide students with supplies before breaks. Before this spring break, the school system is working to provide students with backpacks of snacks, clothing, cleaning supplies and more.
“It’s definitely a passion project and, you know, it’s a blessing to be able to come to work and love your job and love what you do and love the families that you work with and make a difference,” said Nesbitt.
Nesbitt shares that churches and organizations have been reaching out non-stop and that she’s grateful to everybody who has stepped up.
