Brother Dale True
Brother Dale True, 78, of the Clayton community went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 11, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah. He was born October 28, 1946, in Obion County, son of the late James Arthur and Betty Louise (Shannon) True.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Danny O’Guin, Brother Rick Major and Brother Gordon Wilbanks will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.
Pallbearers will be John McKinnis, Joe Jackson, Ken Hogg, Robby Mulcahy, David Prater and Jack Krietman, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Fowlkes, Joe Rogers, Jackie Smith, Joe Wade, Gordon Wilbanks and Scotty Hayes.
For 45 years, Brother Dale served as a Baptist minister, touching countless lives across Obion, Weakley, and Gibson counties in Tennessee, and Fulton County, Kentucky. His unwavering commitment to his faith was a guiding force throughout his life, and he was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Fulton. Known for his kind heart and genuine warmth, Brother Dale possessed a remarkable ability to connect with people, never meeting a stranger. His concern for the souls of others was a testament to his deep-seated compassion.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Gideons International.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mimi (McKinnis) True whom he married on July 3, 1966; three sons, Chris True and Craig True both of the Clayton community and Curt True of Union City; his twin sister and brother-in-law, Gale and Jackie Martin of Maryville; and his mother-in-law, Maurice McKinnis of Union City.
