Tree Falls on Car; Injures Child

There were some very tense moments after a tree fell on a car with a family inside along Boone Lane, Monday night. The massive tree blocked the entire road and took almost two hours for firefighters to clear. Rescue workers were called out just before 9:00 p.m. when the tree fell on the hood of a car. Witnesses say a small child and at least one adult were inside the vehicle when the tree came crashing down. No one appeared to be seriously hurt but the child was taken from the scene by ambulance. Rescue workers say it could have been a very different story if the tree had fallen one second later.
