Lincoln Courts Shooting Victim Dies

Jackson police are now investigating a homicide after the death of a man shot in Lincoln Courts in March. According to investigators, Lovell Kinnie, Jr., 26, of Jackson, was pronounced dead at 4:50 a.m. Thursday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. His death was a result of being shot about three weeks earlier in Lincoln Courts. On March 16 around 1:35 p.m. Jackson police received a call to the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Kinnie had been brought to the emergency room by a family member. Police said the investigation thus far has revealed that Kinnie was a passenger in a car as he and the family member rode through Lincoln Courts. They rode past a group of people who were standing outside. A shot was fired and Kinnie was struck in the back of his right shoulder.
