Saturday, former Governor Ned McWherter will be remembered during a Nashville memorial service that is expected to have former President Bill Clinton and former Vice President Al Gore in attendance. On Sunday, his friends and neighbors in his home town of Dresden will pay their respects. Preparations are already underway at the McWherter home. The 1:30 p.m. service will be held on the front lawn. The two-term democratic governor and longtime house speaker died Monday of cancer. He was 80-years-old.
