Rose Hill Students Ready for TCAP

One group of local students took a break from studying for their upcoming TCAP tests and hit the gym. Friday, students at Rose Hill Middle School in east Madison County closed their books and moved into the gym to enjoy and afternoon of field day events. More than 300 student participated in things like face painting, 3-on-3 basketball, karaoke, a cake walk and a dance. “They have had to work really hard the last few weeks just getting ready for the tests,” said Ruth Parker, a teacher at Rose Hill. “We want to be able to let them get some of their energy out before the tests start next week.” While students enjoyed a break from the classroom, parents had a workshop of their own where they could learn more about what to expect from the TCAP tests.
