Second annual JM Cyrus Foundation dinner
Tonight was the second annual John Cyrus foundation appreciation dinner banquet.
The event was held in Humboldt. Its when student athletes who are great in their respective
sport and the classroom get recognized and are shown appreciation while
also the historians who helped and had a big hand in the community
are still alive to get their flowers as well. Another great
part about this is that the student athletes get scholarships.
We caught up with Louis Johnson a committee member and he
spoke on the best part of having such an important event.
“We’re just enthusiastic about getting these kids some help and the best way to do it is to identify
some of our honorees and the honorees historians that actually we are selecting to celebrate the historians
because people these historians are very impactful in the city of Humboldt because of what they have accomplished here in the city of Humboldt.”

They hope to continue this every year
