Storms Slam Madison & Gibson Counties

Severe storms left a trail of massive broken trees, snapped utility poles, and yards full of debris Monday Night. Two of the hardest hit areas include Bemis in Madison County, and Milan and Trenton in Gibson County. In Bemis, several roads are closed, as crews work to remove trees from roadways and homes. A utility pole crashed through a parked car, and several homes appeared to have windows blown out. In Milan, several downtown buildings sustained roof damage. Among them, City Hall, which remains closed. Emergency Managers say they are busy visiting businesses and homes, trying to assess the full amount of damage. No injuries have been reported.
