‘Civil War Navy Kids Camp’ to set sail at Shiloh National Military Park

SHILOH, Tenn. — Ahoy, Future Nautical Adventurers! Get ready to set sail into history at the Civil War Navy Camp: Timber Clad Gunboats of  the Civil War.

Join the Shiloh National Military Park from June 30th through July 3rd, 2025, for a thrilling adventure where you’ll dive into the fascinating world of naval warfare, all while having tons of fun with friends!

• When: June 30 – July 3, 2025  
• Time: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  
• Where: Shiloh National Military Park  
• Who: Children ages 8 – 12 (Maximum 20 participants!)  

This camp will include hands-on activities, interactive learning about the Battle of  Shiloh, artillery simulations, knot tying, and so much more! Plus, you’ll even get to build  your very own model of a timber-clad gunboat.

Don’t forget to dress for the weather and bring along: 

• Bug spray  
• Water bottle  
• Hat for shade
