Carroll County Health Department celebrates new renovations

HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — Monday, the Carroll County Health Department hosted an open house and ribbon cutting for their newly renovated facility.

The center is located at 633 High Street in Huntingdon.

We spoke with the County Director at the department, Emily Rushing, who shares what they plan to provide for their community moving forward.

“In addition to dental, we also offer the traditional public health services, so WIC, immunizations, screening treatment, or STD’s,” Rushing said. “We also offer primary care, so for uninsured adults age 29-64, they can come up here and see a provider and just like another doctor’s office as well.”

It’s been almost one year since the project started.
