Jackson Apartment Complex Issues Challenge

JACKSON, Tenn. – Chapel Ridge Apartments in east Jackson is challenging every other apartment complex in the Hub City to a competition. Managers are asking them to try to collect more nonperishable foods than they do. All of the food will be donated to “Operation Hope.” The organization serves about 200 people every Monday night and feeds more than 500 on Thanksgiving. Organizers believe this is a great way to help a lot of people in need. “I think we should take it seriously,” said Samantha Northcott. She added this is a great way to encourage a cycle of giving. “I believe that when they get back on their feet, they should try to give back too,” Northcott added. The winner of the friendly competition will be treated to a lunch of their choice provided by Chapel Ridge.
