Milan Middle School Students Raise Money by Going Pink

MILAN, Tenn. — Students and facutly at Milan Middle School in Gibson County had a chance to have their hair dyed pink Wednesday by a local hairdresser. Pink, of course is the color designated to rally support for those who have suffered or are suffering breast cancer. Leaders say it was a fun wasy to show suppport with so many affected by the disease. “We have several teachers and faculty members that have been affected by this dreadful disease and we wanted to do something special,” Kelly Todd said, Assistant Principal of Milan Middle School. Students were recognized and many were vote “the most pinked out” by their fellow students from each grade. More than $800 was raised with the proceeds going to Relay for Life.
