Lifeline Blood Services Hosts “Step Up To Saving Lives” Fair- themed blood drive
Jackson, TN — [August 13, 2025] — Lifeline Blood Services invites the community to add some fair fun to their day at the “Step Up To Saving Lives” blood drive on Thursday, August 21 from 9am-6pm.
All blood donors will receive a limited-edition fair-themed donor t-shirt, complimentary popcorn and cotton candy, and an entry for a chance to win two tickets to the upcoming Crowder concert at the Jackson Rockabillys Stadium, donated by Jackson Rockabillys.
As an added bonus, all donors 18 years and older will also be entered into the 7th Annual Car Giveaway- 2022 Mustang Convertible donated by Joe Mahan Ford. This promotion wraps up on Labor Day.
“Summer is a challenging time for blood collections, but it’s also a time when our community can come together to do something extraordinary,” said Melinda Reid, Marketing Manager of Lifeline Blood Services. “This theme blood drive is a chance for our community to have a little fun while making a big difference in the lives of local patients.”
Blood donations are vital to the health of our community, providing life-saving blood and blood products for accident victims, cancer patients, premature babies, and many others in need. All blood types are needed, especially Type O.

Lifeline Blood Services is one of the nation’s oldest blood centers. Established in Jackson, Tennessee in 1947, Lifeline provides blood products to Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Servicing hospitals, rehabilitation centers, children’s hospitals, cancer centers, air ambulance services and ground ambulance services. Annually, the Center collects approximately 26,000 blood products (red cell units, platelets, plasma, etc.) to meet the needs of patients. Of that total, 75% of those products are usually collected on the bloodmobiles across West Tennessee. Lifeline also provides reference lab and cross-matching services to healthcare facilities.
