Madison Co. Highway Dept. to replace stormwater structures, advises caution to drivers
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Madison County Highway Department has announced that it will be replacing several stormwater structures across Madison County due to a grant project awarded to Madison County.
Officials say the stormwater structures being replaced are primarily cross drains under county roads. The following roads are planned for closure sometime during the week of 08/18/25 to 08/23/2025 and will be weather contingent:
- Site 27- George Anderson Road (8/18/25-8/19/25)
- Site 21- Christmasville Road (8/18/25-8/19/25)
- Site 22- Bedford White Road (8/19/25-8/22/25)
- Site 18- Betty Holland Road (8/19/25- 8/21/25)
- Site 25- Cobb Road (8/19/25-8/22/25)
- Site 24- Browns Church Road (8/19/25-8/22/25)
- Site 12- Ashport Road (8/19/25-8/22/25)
- Site 11- Adair Road (8/19/25-8/22/25)
For the most part, the roads noted above will be closed for just a few hours, but in some cases the road closures may be longer, officials say.
For the longer road closures, more specific information will be provided at those times.
Drivers are asked to be mindful of all construction related road signage and workers in these areas, and use alternate routes where possible. For more information, click here.
