Madison County 4-H ‘Chicken Shack’ coming to Jackson Fairgrounds

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Madison County 4-H members are hosting a chicken shack fundraiser.

They will be selling chicken, porkchops and rib plates at the Jackson Fairgrounds.

There are options for a pickup order or a delivery if a business orders 10 meals or more.

This event is always the highlight of the West Tennessee State Fair. However, the 4-H members are doing it on their own this year with some hope of support.

“We’re doing it on our own. We’ve been here 63 years, so hopefully it will be a tradition that will be long-standing and the community comes out and supports us,” said Kane Reeves, county director of UT-TSU extension at Madison County.

This fundraiser will be held from September 9-15 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. or until they are out of chicken for that day.
