7th annual Farm to Table Dinner brings residents together in downtown Savannah
SAVANNAH, Tenn. — Residents gathered at a local farmers market to celebrate the beginning of the end of the farmers market season.
The seventh annual farm to table dinner was held earlier Tuesday in downtown Savannah. The farmers market theme was “this little piggy went to market” focusing on a salute to pork products with all the trimmings.
“We are holding the 7th annual farm to table dinner. It’s in celebration of agritourism at the end of the season. Everything we serve are fall flavors. This year we are working with the Hardin County High School culinary art class, and they helped us curate the menu and they are serving a majority of the dishes today,” said Camila Tatl, assistant of tourism for Explore Pickwick Lake.
Some of the items on the menu include black berry pork tenderloin, cinnamon carrots, and UT Extension 4H flavored butter.
