Larry Wayne Via

Larry Wayne Via, 75, of Union City passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, at The Waters of Union City.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.

Pallbearers will be James Via, Bradley Via, Jaxon Via, Jim Hegedus, Dray Seiber and Joe Hamilton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Via and Kaitlin Via-Hegedus.

Larry was born March 27, 1950, in Union City, son of the late Fred Via and the late Jennie Lou (Craig) Via-Bradshaw. He married Rachel (Stover) Via August 9, 1969. Larry had been employed as a truck driver for the former Rogers Oil Company in Union City. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Larry was a member of the former Woodward’s Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rachel Via of Union City; two sons, Randy Via (Marsha) of Union City and Keith Via (Shanna) of Hornbeak; five grandchildren, James Via of Hornbeak, Dylan Via of Troy, Kaitlin Via-Hegedus (Jim) of Knoxville, Bradley Via of the Sidonia community and Jaxon Via of Union City; one sister, Cathy Via Cooper (Joe) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and two brothers, Ricky Via (Lori) of Millsfield and Mike Via of Dyersburg.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Nicky Wayne Via; one brother, Danny Via; and his step father, Elvia Bradshaw.
