Gov. candidate Pinkston host session in Selmer
SELMER, Tenn.—A new candidate has entered the race for Governor of Tennessee and she visited Selmer for a sit-down with local community members.
Lauren Pinkston was in Selmer Saturday morning to connect with West Tennesseans and discuss what matters most to them.
Pinston, who is a 7th generation Tennessean and mom of 4, was at the McNairy County Courthouse meeting with community members, listening to their concerns as well as sharing more about her political platform.
Pinston enters the Governor’s race as an Independent and says she sees the daily injustices within the system and struggles in fighting to be a represented citizen.
Pinkston has made it her mission to fight injustice, serving to help human trafficking survivors start businesses, working to uncover employment gaps within the workforce, and more.
She is currently making her way across Tennessee in a tour of “Kitchen Table” sessions to connect with area residents.
Her next stops include Columbia, Tennessee for a lunch session followed by a dinner session in Chattanooga.
