Vickie Blackburn
She was born August 31, 1952 in Humboldt, Tennessee to the late Glenn and Nell Blackburn. She was a 1970 graduate of Overton High School in Memphis. To know Vickie was to love her. Her friends and family all knew her to be loving, kind, and compassionate. She worked for Rowe International and later at Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson. During her career she was dedicated to excellence and she rose to the top of her field. She had an uncanny ability to connect with people and to reach them in a deep and positive way.
Vickie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, and enjoying her time with her nieces and nephews.
Vickie is survived by her sister, Glenda Bramblett; a brother, Jimmy Blackburn (Debbie), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A service to celebrate the life of Vickie Blackburn will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the mausoleum chapel at Highland Memorial Gardens. Friends, family, and others whose lives Vickie touched are warmly invited to attend.
