Dem. Candidate for Gov. Jerri Green makes a stop in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn.—A new candidate is throwing in her hat for Governor of Tennessee and she makes a stop here in the Hub City.
Jerri Green, Dem. Candidate for Governor, hosted a meet and greet event at Bourbon and Barley in Jackson.
The stop is to get to know more about local residents and their needs while also sharing a little about her platform.
Green is hoping to implement several improvements if elected as Tennessee Governor.
Her focus remains on strengthening public schools, implementing accessible healthcare, finding support for TN families, and making changes to provide a brighter future for generations to come.
“People are tired of groceries being high. People are worried about being able to take care of their elderly loved ones. It’s all the same across the board. They want their public school to be good. We have plans to help people where they are. Whether it is on City Council or on Deputy Chief of Staff to our County Mayor, what I do day in and day out is help our community get better and move forward. It’s the same thing I’ll take to the state,” Green said.
Green was born and raised in Memphis. She is an attorney and public servant who dedicates herself to improving the lives of Tennesseans.
