Grisham announces candidacy for Henderson Co sheriff
HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. – Tracey Grisham announced his candidacy for Henderson County sheriff on a Facebook post.
According to the post, Grisham said he has been considering running for the office for several years.
“In 2021, Sheriff Brian Duke sat down with me and encouraged me to consider running for the office of Sheriff in 2026. One week later, after much prayer, reflection, and thoughtful consideration, I made the decision to answer that call,” Grisham wrote in his post.
According to his announcement, Grisham started his law enforcement career in 1996 in Henderson County.
“This is where it all started, and this is where I hope it comes to a successful and meaningful conclusion,” he wrote in the post.

He said he plans to meet with Henderson County residents over the next several months regarding their concerns. He encourages residents to also send a private message to him on Facebook with their greatest concerns regarding the county.
According to his Facebook, Grisham has held various positions in law enforcement that include Captain of Criminal Investigations Division at Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, Former Chief of Police at Crump Police Department, and former Patrol Deputy and Narcotics Investigation at Hardin County Sheriff Department.
His Facebook states he studied Criminal Justice at Jackson State Community College, studied New Sheriff School at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy, studied De-Escalation and Duty to Intervene Instructor at Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Officer’s Association, and several other trainings and certifications.
” I have already had the privilege of speaking with many citizens across the county, and I look forward to hearing from more of you,” wrote Grisham on his post. “I humbly ask for your support and vow to do my utmost to serve Henderson County with integrity, dedication, and respect if elected as your sheriff.”
