Bolivar residents get together for Christmas lights run
BOLIVAR, Tenn. — Residents gathered in Bolivar to join a special Christmas lights run-walk presented by Jennifer Marcum.
Participates started in Pleasant Run Creek Park and moved though a nearby neighborhood, getting a glimpse off all the amazing Christmas displays.
They asked participants to bring Christmas cheer and wear something festive and visible.
“I just wanted to get people involved and with me running and running though the neighborhood and I saw there were lots of Christmas lights I thought this would be a fun event to get people involved just to see the lights by foot instead of driving in a car to see it,” said Marcum, organizer.
The League of Garmin is a fitness group consisting of long distance runners, cyclists, outdoor enthusiasts, aviators, and more.
