Chickasaw State Park to host New Year’s Day hike

HENDERSON, Tenn.—One local state park is offering a way to get moving in 2026.

Chickasaw State Park will host a first day hike on January 1, 2026.

The hour-long hike led by Ranger Fox will begin at 10 am.

Hikers will travel the Lake Shore Trail around Lake Placid at the park.

The event is free and registration is not required to participate.

Those interested in the New Year’s Day hike will meet at the Chickasaw Trading Post prior to start time.
