Pet of the Week: Cowboy

This week’s Pet of the Week from Tipton County Animal Shelter is Cowboy!

Meet Cowboy, a young adult Mixed Breed gentleman who looks like an extra-extra large Corgi wandered onto the range and decided to stay. Short legs, big personality, and just the right amount of sass, Cowboy is equal parts charm and heart!

While many dogs dream of adventurous field trips, Cowboy has made it clear he’s more of a home-on-the-range kind of guy. Instead of heading out, he chose to stay close to the shelter because sometimes the best adventures happen right at home. He spent his “field trip” hanging around the property, gently trotting around with his beloved squeaky duck and enjoying a relaxed game of fetch in one of the bigger exam rooms. Cowboy had a wonderful time, carefully carrying his duck like it was something special.

Cowboy doesn’t need wide open spaces to be content, just a little room to play, a favorite squeaky toy, and a human to share it with. He’s playful yet soft-mouthed, confident but calm, with that unmistakable Corgi-esque personality that says, “I run this ranch, kindly.”

Cowboy may already be house trained and would likely just need a little brushing up as he settles into a new routine. And Cowboy will be neutered upon receipt of an approved adoption application.

If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who prefers cozy comforts over cattle drives, Cowboy may be ready to ride off into the sunset with you, straight to his forever home.

To adopt Cowboy, please contact Lee Riley or Amber Smith by calling (901) 837-5919. Tipton County Animal Shelter also has an online adoption application at www.tiptonco.com.
