Multiple utility departments respond to assist Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. – Pickwick Electric Cooperative posted an update on the progress of electricity restoration to their customers. In the Wednesday update, they acknowledged the generosity and assistance being given to the county by other states.

Lineworkers continue to work Wednesday to restore power to homes that remain without electricity. PEC is receiving assistance from  Central Florida Electric Cooperative, Inc.Chickasaw Electric CooperativeNorth Arkansas Electric CooperativeFirst Electric CooperativeGibson Electric Membership Corporation, Forked Deer Electric Cooperative, Appalachian Electric Cooperative, Powell Valley Electric Cooperative, Humboldt Utilities and Jackson Energy Authority.

According to PEC, they were able to restore power to 5,000 homes on Tuesday and they continue to work Wednesday on those still without power.

Wednesday, their crews will be focused on on Enville Leapwood Road, Finger Leapwood Road, Red Sulphur, Old Union, Hendrix, Buena Vista, Sandpiper Point, Cypress Tank, Lock Road, Rose Creek, 3 Way, Watkins Road, Sardie Henry, YMCA Lane, Bluebird Lane, Pickwick State Park area, Highway 57, Airport Road, Chamber Store Road, Gilchrist, Clayhill Drive, Peach Street and Holiday Hills.
