TBI warns of recent impersonation scam
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is warning residents of a circulating scam aiming to impersonate the organization.
According to the TBI, several Tennessee residents are receiving text messages, phone calls, and emails from individuals claiming to be from TBI and 1-800-TBI-FIND.
The TBI reminds residents that it will never call you from 1-800-TBI-FIND (1-800-824-3463) or ask for money.
If you receive one of these calls, hang up and call 1-800-TBI-FIND, as your information may help the TBI identify the source of these communications.
