Investigation continues after suspect allegedly fired into Jack’s restaurant

JACKSON, Tenn. — We’re tracking a developing story out of north Jackson. Police were seen surrounding a restaurant on North Highland Avenue late Monday night.

Monday night, we received multiple news tips of a heavy police presence at Jack’s located at 3180 North Highland Avenue.

The Jackson Police Department has confirmed an armed incident took place at approximately 9:16 p.m. involving multiple suspects.

Our crews arrived on the scene shortly after and witnessed officers going in and out of the fast food restaurant while checking the surrounding parking lot.

Several viewers reached out to us reporting a possible shooting inside the restaurant.

According to JPD, one male suspect brandished a handgun and fired into one of Jacks’ windows aiming at a group of people. Immediately after, the suspects fled the scene.

Despite what happened overnight, the restaurant reopened for business Tuesday morning.
