First responders fought flames for more than three hours.

“Our initial response was with three engines, a rescue, and a tower truck. We ended up calling in an additional engine, and an additional aerial unit. We don’t know what the cause is. Tomorrow morning we’ll have our fire investigations out here to see if we can identify a location where the fire started,” explained Chief Don Friddle, Jackson Fire Department.

According to Chief Don Friddle, the Allied Company deals with transmission parts, rubber hoses, aluminum materials, and rubber products.

“Sometimes the rubber materials are very difficult to put out and that’s kind of what we’re encountering right now is some hotspots that are inside the building. Right now we’re kind of in a transition phase, we’re calling in two more engines to replace some of the guys that we have on the scene right now. It’s been a long battle for them, and we’re trying to get them relief in here,” explained Chief Don Friddle, Jackson Fire Department.
