Ford partners with local animal shelter for free pet adoptions
JACKSON, Tenn. — Are you looking for the “purr-fect” pet to celebrate valentine’s day? Well, you’re in luck.

Thanks to an exciting partnership between Ford Motor Company and the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter, adoption fees are completely free this month.
“In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, in the month of February, we just thought it would be nice, ‘Hey, what if we were to just give this little care package?'” said Marianne Dunavant, community relations regional manager for Ford Motor Company.
But here’s where it gets even better: Ford isn’t just covering adoption fees, spay and neuter costs are on them too.
“So, we thought maybe we could give some incentive for people to consider that as a Valentine’s Day gift if we were to cover all the costs. And we’re even going to try to make sure that those animals are kind of dressed up in a pretty sweater or a bandana, and then kind of come with a care package,” said Dunavant.
To celebrate the month of love, leaders want every animal that goes home to get a healthy start and a real second chance at happiness.
“When you adopt this animal, you’re getting an animal that’s been loved, that’s been taken care of, that’s been fed, but they just need that one-on-one attention with a family,” said Dunavant.
So whether you’re looking for a cuddly kitten, a loyal companion, or maybe even both, head over to the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter.
