Poll shows Blackburn holds strong lead in GOP Gubernatorial Primary
Brentwood, TN- Tennesseans for Student Success (TSS), an education advocacy organization, yesterday released a new statewide poll in the Governor’s race.
The poll found that Marsha Blackburn is at 61% on the ballot, followed by Rose at 8%, and Fritts at 5%. Blackburn holds a commanding 52.5-point lead over John Rose and a 55.5-point lead over Monty Fritts in the Republican primary for Governor of Tennessee. This is the second poll in as many weeks in which Senator Blackburn received well over 50% of the support, while the other two candidates in the race remained in single digits.
Speaking about the latest poll, campaign treasurer Glenn Jacobs said, “This poll confirms the momentum we feel on the ground: Tennesseans are coming together in support of Marsha Blackburn’s campaign to make Tennessee America’s conservative leader. We are not taking anything for granted, and Marsha will continue to fight to earn the support of Tennesseans from Memphis to Mountain City and everywhere in between. Join us on Team Marsha.”
Just last week, the Beacon Center of Tennessee also released a statewide survey showing Senator Blackburn holding a commanding lead (Blackburn 56% – Rose 9% – Fritts 7%).
