UPDATE: Drummond co-defendants appear in court
JACKSON, Tenn.–Some updates have been made in the Austin Drummond case. On Tuesday three co-defendants connected to the Austin Drummond quadruple homicide case case appeared at Madison County Circuit Court on accessory charges.
Drummond is charged in the deaths of Cortney Rose, Adrianna Williams, Braydon Williams, and James Wilson, along with multiple other charges from July 29 of last year in Lake County.
A manhunt for Drummond began immediately. He was taken into custody in Jackson August 5 and has pled ‘not guilty’ to all of the charges.
Dearrah Sanders, Eric Wise Jr, and Michell Ovelis have all been charged with accessory after the fact for their alleged roles in assisting Drummond.
Sanders plead guilty to accessory after the fact and received two years in prison.
Wise Jr. plead guilty to charges of accessory after the fact and was given a one year sentence because of an offered plea deal.
Ovelis now has a trial date set for May 5 and 6 because no plea deal was accepted.
A status check is set for March 30.
Court proceedings will continue for the co-defendants connected to the Austin Drummond case.
