Lexington High School staff member suspended indefinitely following ‘alleged incident,’ HCS says
PRESS RELEASE FROM HENDERSON COUNTY SCHOOLS:
LEXINGTON, Tenn. — Henderson County Schools confirms that law enforcement has filed a charge related to an alleged incident involving a staff member and a student at Lexington High School.
The employee has been suspended indefinitely in accordance with board policy and applicable state law.
The district is cooperating fully with law enforcement and will continue to do so throughout the judicial process. Because this matter involves a minor and an active legal case, Henderson County Schools will not release identifying information about the student or the employee, nor will it comment on specific details of the charge or evidence.
Henderson County Schools takes all allegations of misconduct seriously and will take further action as appropriate based on the outcome of the legal process and the district’s established procedures.
