Huntingdon Mustangs celebrate state championship with ring ceremony

 

Earlier tonight the Huntingdon Mustangs football team had their championship
ring ceremony. The Mustangs won the class
2A state championship over Marion county with a
final of 20 to 7 back on December 6th of 2025. This makes
the second time in history Huntingdon has brought home
the gold ball. Some of the adversity they faced was
they were picked to finish fifth in their
region,was on the road twice in the playoffs, and had a
roster complied of just 39 players. Mustangs ended the season
with a 5-1 record in the region and 14-1 overall. Head coach Eric Swenson
told his players what the rings represent. Quote “The price of excellence,
power of unity and the pride of being champions. Where it with honor
and where it with pride. The biggest thing where it in the airport because
every bodies gonna stop you and ask you about it.”
