Senator Marsha Blackburn visits STAR Center in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. (WBBJ) – A local organization had an exciting guest at it’s facility this evening.
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) stopped by the star center for an informative tour. The STAR Center is a nonprofit founded in 1988 that helps people with disabilities of all ages with communication, education, employment, and independent living.
The senator met with leadership and discussed the work the organization does for Tennesseans with disabilities.
“Being able to see the broad set of services that are offered here is just really encouraging and how fabulous that the community has this that citizens have access to the services here at the star center,” said Blackburn.
