MADISON COUNTY, Tenn.–Fire stations across Madison County and nationwide are glowing red this week, as part of an effort to honor firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The display is part of a nationwide campaign leading up to National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, which is May 2 and 3.

The effort supports the annual ‘Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters’ campaign, led by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which encourages communities across all 50 states to honor fallen fire heroes by displaying red lights at homes, businesses, landmarks, and fire stations.
