Man Arrested for Refusing to Leave Waiting Room

WEST JACKSON — Jackson police arrested a man after he refused to leave Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Tuesday night. Denaris Powell, 19, was arrested after officers asked him several times to leave the emergency room waiting room. Officers said that when they attempted to take Powell in custody, he began resisting and pushing himself away from officers.
