Police Investigate Alleged Assault Involving County Attorney

WEST JACKSON — Jackson Police are investigating an alleged assault involving Madison County Attorney Steve Maroney that happened Tuesday afternoon. At 12:45 p.m., Maroney told officers that he was assaulted in the men’s room by business owner Todd Krasner, after a committee meeting at the Madison County Finance Department located at 1981 Hollywood Drive. While at the scene, officers also spoke with Mr. Krasner. No arrest was made. Officers filed a police report, and the incident has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.
