Morning fire damages Bemis home

BEMIS, Tenn. — A Monday morning fire damages a home in Bemis.

The Jackson Fire Department responded to the house fire just before 9 a.m. on Carroll Street.

There were people in the house at the time of the fire, but no one was injured.

There was heavy damage to the porch and attic area.

The cause is still under investigation.
