Haywood County confirms first COVID-19 death

HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. — Haywood County Mayor David Livingston confirmed Tuesday that a resident has died from a coronavirus-related illness.

Mayor Livingston did not confirm the resident’s identity, but said the death was confirmed Monday afternoon.

Haywood County reported five COVID-19 cases on Monday, according to the Tennessee Department of Health.
