Storm damage reports across West Tennessee

We are in contact with Emergency Management Directors across West Tennessee.  Here are the damage reports we have so far.

BENTON COUNTY

5:30 p.m. — According to the EMA, lot of roads out in the South End of Benton County. They are not aware of property damage, but there is road damage.

Power lines are broken, and lots of trees are down.

CARROLL COUNTY 

4:34 p.m. — Hwy. 22 between McKenzie and Huntingdon is closed due to flooding, according to police.

According to Carroll County fire chief, there have been 2-3 water rescues. There are no injuries reported so far. 

There was 1 on Buena Vista Road person trapped in car. Chief said another woman who was trapped was holding on to trees so not to be swept away. She was not taken to hospital.

911 facility in Carroll County is having flooding issues, but at this time they are still able to dispatch. 

CHESTER COUNTY 

3:50 p.m. — No damages to report yet. 

DYER COUNTY

5:35 p.m. — EMA says there have been no reported injuries. They are currently clearing trees. 

3:30 p.m. Power outages reported, Flash flooding reported and there are trees down. No Rescues have been requested.

GIBSON COUNTY

3:32 p.m.  Outages reported in Trenton. EMA directors say lightening struck a transformer and a house. Road erosion has been reported HWY 185

HARDEMAN COUNTY

4:12 p.m. — Trees reported down 

HARDIN COUNTY

3:43 — Storm is currently moving through, no damages reported yet

HAYWOOD COUNTY

4:30 p.m. — Communications tower at Brownsville city hall has collapsed.

3:35 p.m. — Power Outages Reported

HENDERSON COUNTY 

3:36 p.m. — 1 road underwater, 1 tree down and an electric pole struck by lightening and the 911 emergency system struck by lightening 

MADISON COUNTY 

4 p.m. — Westover Road/Oak Grove–tree down wrapped up with power lines.

 

On the 500 Block of Watson Rd, a power is line down.

3:00 p.m. — Power lines down on Campbell St. Several trees are down, causing power outage in the area.

MCNAIRY COUNTY

3:38 p.m. — No problems reported so far. Experiencing heavy wind and rain

OBION COUNTY

3:35 p.m. — Emergency Management Director said they are in, “good shape”

WEAKLEY COUNTY 

3:31 p.m. — Flooding Carroll County lines. 1 rescue squad was released with a boat for a water rescue, location unknown
