NWS Memphis Confirms EF1 Tornado in Obion County

OBION CO., Tenn. — The National Weather Service in Memphis confirms a tornado touched down Saturday in Lake and Obion counties during severe weather. Meteorologists say the tornado was an EF1 with peak winds of 80-90 miles per hour and lasted for 12 miles. According to NWS, the damage in Lake County was mostly downed trees.
